Catch me if you can

The first thing you notice is the cat, when you see it in thumb size, so you enlarge the view (if you like cats, you do <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/> ) and then ... surprise! All the little world in the shadow reveals! This approch to the image gives it originality and makes it more intriguing.
The chioce of colours is interesting: the cat is "warm", while the flowers, the dragonfly, the ampoule and, most important, the fairy, are all between pink and blue. The contrast is purposedly created (in the original stock, the lovely model is redhead but here her hair has been changed to copper, almost pink), giving coherence and atmosphere to the composition. The cat apprears more blurry than the rest, and this, far from being a flaw, confirms the sensation of two different worlds that meet: the cat belongs to our experience, while the rest is magic, but cats are traditionally considered able to see the invisible things, so a cat is the proper link between the two different levels of reality.
The best thing to me is the reflection in the cat's eyes, that match perfectly the light of the small cave.
The only thing that looks a bit odd to me are the heart-shaped balloons: why should a fairy carry heart-shaped ballons while hiding from a chasing cat? because of Valentine's Day, I guess ... They also pop out a bit too much from the picture because of the red colour. But it doesn't really matter, it doesn't affect at all the pleasure of watching this sweet, funny, delicate and dreamy artwork. Really, really good work!
